Mayor Bowser to Break Ground on New Anacostia Development
(WASHINGTON, DC) – Tomorrow, Mayor Muriel Bowser will participate in a groundbreaking of the new headquarters for Far Southeast Family Strengthening Collaborative in Historic Anacostia. The project, made possible by $13 million in DC government grants and financing, will also be home to the first Busboys & Poets restaurant east of the Anacostia River. The 20,000 square-foot facility will serve as a community gathering space and is part of Mayor Bowser’s continued commitment to improving economic opportunities for residents in underserved neighborhoods.
