Mayor Bowser to Host Press Conference Call on #DCinChina Delegation
(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today at 8:30 am EST / 9:30 pm China Standard Time, Mayor Bowser with former Mayor Anthony Williams, Ward 2 Councilmember Jack Evans, and Chief Financial Officer Jeffrey DeWitt will hold a press conference call on the District delegation’s visit to China, which wraps up on Saturday.
The Mayor’s delegation is focused on promoting the District as a tourist destination, attracting additional foreign direct investment to the District, creating new partnership agreements between DC and China-based institutions, and expanding economic opportunities for District residents. In Shanghai, Mayor Bowser announced $155 million of foreign investments for development projects that will produce more affordable housing and job opportunities for District residents.
